Our Diet, Not Our Genes Control Our Destiny
The food we eat determines our destiny. No need to blame your “bad genes.”
The human body is designed to be lean and healthy. The human body is not designed to be reliant on prescription drugs or surgeries. But why have human beings become so reliant on drugs and surgery? The simple answer is: The food we grew up eating is making us sick.
If analyzing human evolution, the Standard American Diet (SAD) is very unlike the diet human beings ate over the last four million years. Our vital organs, including our blood, arteries, and cells were never designed to function under so much fat and cholesterol. Our intestines are not designed to function without dietary fiber. Currently, the average fiber intake in the United States is 15 grams per day. Fiber is vital! Our immune system is not designed to function without an abundant supply of plant-based nutrients and phytochemicals.
As our cells remain drenched in fat, cholesterol, animal proteins, and artificial chemicals, our immune system becomes deprived of what it needs to maintain itself. The impairments lead to cancer, heart disease, high blood pressure, obesity, arthritis, osteoporosis, and other age-related illnesses.
How can you prevent these burdens? The answer: Follow a plant-based diet high in carbohydrate and low in fat.
If your diet sounds like one that is full of animal fat, cholesterol and protein, it isn’t too late to change your lifestyle. Follow the right diet and your body will recover.
